Get Started
Tenera is a web app for running AI-assisted user research with synthetic users grounded in your own customer context. Use it to pressure-test product decisions before you spend weeks building, launching, or recruiting participants.
You do not need an external coding tool, protocol setup, or developer handoff. Create a project, add the context Tenera should learn from, start a simulation, and review the report in the app.
How it works
1. Create a project
Open Tenera, create a project for the product or surface you want to study, and add a short description of what you are building. A project keeps your knowledge sources, persona segments, simulations, reports, and integrations together.
2. Add customer context
Before you run research, add the evidence Tenera should use:
- Knowledge Base — upload interviews, support notes, sales calls, product docs, surveys, URLs, and other source material.
- Persona Segments — define the user groups you care about, or let Tenera generate personas from your Knowledge Base.
- Tenera Analytics — optional: install the browser snippet to import real behavioral sessions as persona evidence.
3. Start a simulation
From your project, start a new simulation and describe the decision you need to make. Add screenshots, copy, product links, specs, or other files when they help explain the experience.
Tenera turns your request into a research brief, selects or creates the right personas, runs synthetic user interviews, and produces a report with evidence, friction points, and recommended next steps.
4. Iterate from the report
Use the report to decide what to ship, change, or test next. Each run should close one question and reveal the next highest-value question.
Before your first run
Set up these two areas first:
- Knowledge Base — gives personas real vocabulary, objections, and context from your customers.
- Persona Segments — keeps results focused on the audience that matters for the decision.
You can start with a small amount of context and improve it over time. Re-run enrichment after adding important new sources.
Quick start
- Create or open a project.
- Add at least a few Knowledge Base sources.
- Review or create the persona segment you want to study.
- Start a simulation and write the decision you are trying to make.
- Attach any screenshots, copy, URLs, or files the personas should react to.
- Review the brief, run the simulation, and read the report.
